Tottenham 40th Birthday Cake

This was a cake for a friend, he's a full on Tottenham supporter. I was tempted to make the sponge red velvet with vanilla buttercream giving the red and white 'rival' colours, that would be more than my life is worth!! Simple vanilla sponge and buttercream

My first attempt at sugar craft roses, not too shabby eh?! I was very happy how these turned out.  The colour of the ready made sugar paste wasn't great so I used a dusting powder over the top, this gave the flowers depth.

I was so pleased how this came together, I'd used a madeira recipe so the sponge was nice & moist.  The cakes from top to bottom are: Fruit, Chocolate, Lemon, Chocolate.  All covered with marzipan and regal ice
